Barely made it through 5 before Genius Lovullo turned it over to stinkin' Ginkel. Getting swept at home in September is not a good thing. Lovullo is way too laid back to fire up this underperforming bunch. Gallon wasn't very good today - too much trying to finesse around the plate instead of just pitching. What will Lovullo say at today's presser after yesterday's disaster and today's blown 5 run lead? Some platitudes and "we'll get 'em next time". Good thing the Mets lost today because the Dodgers will likely lay down for the Braves.

Salvaging 1 of 3 at home against the Brewers keeps the playoff hopes alive. Thank goodness. I thought the Ghost of Lovullo had blown it when Stinkin' Ginkel came in to the game. I still think that Puk needs to close. Martinez had another shaky outing in the 10th.
