1) as mentioned on another thread Derek Glasser surprised USC by committing to ASU for this coming season. Apparently USC gave their last scholarship to a kid named Austin and wanted glasser to walkon(apparently his parents are wealthy) but he chose to take the scholarship that Kruger gave up at ASU.

2) USC commit Daniel Hackett is considering graduating early so he can play at USC this year. He reportedly is enrolled in English this summer and skipped the recent shoe camps. He's still trying to clarify if it's indeed possible for him to graduate early. His father Rudy now works for Tim Floyd at USC and they're saying if he can get in, he might even wind up playing PG this year although he's really a SG. He's the kid that Bill Walker sucker punched at a tournament in Portland recently.

3) Speaking of Walker, the OHSAA ruled that he is ineligible to play this year for any Ohio Highschool. They ruled transcripts reveal he was a 9th grader, not an 8th grader when he enrolled at North College Hill. His AAU coach had reportedly told him to transfer from a Kentucky school when the coach there refused to drop him to 8th grade so he could be the same year as Mayo. Allegedly someone contacted the OHSAA by phone and tipped them off that Walker wasn't eligible to play this year, the investigation revealed that he had in fact already completed 8th grade before enrolling at North College Hill.

4) Recent article in Ohio quoting OJ Mayo makes the Mayo to USC rumors seem even less imminent. He says he still wants to look at Florida and Kstate and that he's seriously considering playing on a barnstorming team run by Sonny Vaccaro, Vaccaro himself was on LA radio Friday talking about the proposed team.

5) Brandon Jennings junior to be, was apparently rejected by Oak Hill and nobody is now sure where he'll play his junior year. Until recently he'd listed UCLA, UA and UConn(not necessarily in that order) but his current 4 has dropped UCLA and added USC. Apparently Oak Hill had serious questions with his transcripts(as they did with Mayo's when they rejected him) and with the NCAA crackdown on prepschools, they rejected him. BRO is apparently reporting on the pay site that UCLA feels Jennings is "not a good fit" which apparently is a polite way of saying we could never enroll him here with his transcripts. They are now focussed on Jerime Anderson, Larry Drew Jr, and Malcolm Lee, all junior to be PG's.

6) Unconfirmed report has Davon Jefferson committing to UNLV, which is where he originally committed before failing to qualify. Jefferson was supposed to be at USC this year but again his transcripts were a joke, he was booted from a prepschool and was trying to meet his core requirements in online courses that the clearinghouse apparently was seriously questioning. If he really commited to UNLV this would be a pretty hysterical situation for USC.

Rivals is also reporting that James Harden is about to commit to ASU. Apparently with glasser committing there and his mom moving to Phoenix, he's said it's essentially a done deal.

Being reported that UCLA has submitted the transcripts and scores of both Serbian recruits, Marko Spica, and Nikola Dragovic to the NCAA Clearinghouse for review. The report says that while Dragovic is considered the better prospect, Spica probably has the better chance of being approved by the Clearinghouse.

Interesting I'd pretty much assumed both guys were a no go for UCLA.
