Mississippi State basketball starting center Michael Nwoko has entered the transfer portal, according to a post he shared on social media on Thursday.
He entered the portal with a "do not contact" tag.
Nwoko, a rising junior, transferred to the Bulldogs from Miami this season and started 32 of the 34 games. He averaged 6.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 15.4 minutes per game.
Nwoko is the second MSU player to enter the transfer portal following guard Kanye Clary.
Although Nwoko was a starter, he didn't play the typical starter minutes. He played in the starting unit, but KeShawn Murphy averaged nearly 10 more minutes per game at center than Nwoko.
Still, there were flashes where Nwoko was a dominant player like when scored 18 points against Pittsburgh and Central Michigan. He scored MSU's first nine points of the game at Georgia.
Murphy was a redshirt junior, so he can return next season. Centers Jeremy Foumena and Gai Chol have eligibility remaining, though they barely played this season. The Bulldogs signed two four-star centers in the 2025 recruiting class, Tee Bartlett and Jamarion Davis-Fleming, but look for them to also add a center in the transfer portal.

The "do not contact" tag likely means Nwoko already knows where he's heading in the portal.
