Anyone have this game? I haven't played a baseball game in ages, so the controls seem unbelievably impossible to me. Pitching is just a bear.

I've played a lot of the "my career" mode and I've got a great player cookin', but the timing on the power swing is irritating at times. Sometimes I can't do anything but home runs. Sometimes I can't even hit it out of the infield against a pitcher throwing 98 miles an hour. It's all about timing, but I don't think I have *that* many variations between my swings. Yet the game says nothing about players being tired or going through downswings.

Nonetheless, it's a great game. I'd really love it if I could ever figure out the controls. I'm sure there's some 8-year-old out there who would just shake his head at my inability to master this in less than 5 minutes. hehe

MLB the Show is the only way to go, that is unless you have a XBox 360. The show is a million times better than 2k11.

I was enticed by the offer to win $1 million to be the first to pitch a perfect game.

Then I got the game and realized I'd have a better shot of winning the lottery.

It is a smart promotion by them because I am sure there are many like you who bought it for that reason. If you end up buying a new one in the coming years Sony makes a great game. It is like the quality of NBA 2K11.
