Really? Ridiculous. It's going to be a glorious evening. The sun won't get in anybody's eyes. What could possibly be the excuse to not open the roof tonight?

Oh yeah, that one - noise. I still maintain that it's equally loud in there whether or not the little roof is open or closed. They could find out very easily - measure the sound at field level with it open & closed. If there's ANY difference, it's minimal.

It's October in Arizona - let's play (semi) outdoors for cryin' out loud.

Time to start getting ready to head over. Go Cards!

The temp won't be an issue at ALL. The Dbacks start opening their (much larger) roof for evening games starting in early September. The stadium would be no warmer tonight if they open the roof than if it's closed.

There are policies in place. If it is 90 degrees at kickoff, they have to close it. I believe the threshold is in the upper 70s or lower 80s

Trust me, you want Shitzpatrick to have to hear the noise tonight.

ive been sweating bullets on Halloween before
Yeah it's funny I was at a race last year and two people were having a conversation about the heat, both transplants. It was in July. One of them said to the other; Man it's so hot, but atleast we only have 1 more month of summer.

I laughed maniacally! I'm like FOOLS! It will be summer well into October. Welcome to Arizona!

Kurt and other former players swear that it's louder with the roof closed, and this team needs all the help it can get right now. lol Close that roof!

Totally agree that the roof should be open. "Outdoor" football rules, even if it is just a dome with its lid opened.

When they were building UOP, it was presented as if it would be closed for just the first few super-hot games and opened the rest of the time.

For the extra expense of making a retractable roof, they should have just made it a never-to-be-opened dome.

This is like a bye for the Cardinals. Jets are probably second worst team in the league right now after Browns.
