Just heard on 910 that Capshaw and Davey were cut today. McCoy is out 4-6 weeks after thumb surgery for torn ligaments. Sorry this info has already been posted

Shane H said:That really sucks.
devilfan02 said:No kidding, McCoy has impressed me the most this preseason. Hopefully he'll come back 100%

If the Cards really believe we'll need him NEXT YEAR, this is a really stupid move. If the org. thinks we can only get one more year out of Player, we should have kept Capshaw.CardLogic said:Releasing Capshaw now is a smart move...
He wasn't going to unseat Player and keeping him until later cuts just provides more evidence to other teams that it was a tough decision. In addition to the other teams getting more looks at him. This may be the best chance for him to be around for the Cardinals next year.
I agree.Billy Flynt said:Actually, I'd say Troy Walters should be #4 on the depth chart based on preseason performance.
Shane H said:Why? Spurlock really has shown a whole lot of nothing in pre season. McCoy is only out for maybe 4 weeks which puts him back by week 3 with 13 left.
Maybe the coaches tried to convince Capshaw to go on IR, but Capshaw refused. That makes it a smart move. We don't know what happened.Pariah said:If the Cards really believe we'll need him NEXT YEAR, this is a really stupid move. Ask the Broncos how hard it is to find a good punter. They're stuck with Micah Knorr until Saurbraun comes back from his suspension.
