I think the Diamondbacks will only have to pay one million to Mondesi. If he helps that will be great. I doubt they will re-sign him after this year. Hopefully they will be able to pick-up a big free agent right fielder during the offseason.

Mondesi is a crybaby. He took a separate plane than the team last week because he was upset for being lifted for a PH.

I'm not sure on this, but if memory serves correct he has a helluva defensive arm. When he was with the dodgers he was considered right behind Larry Walker. But I may be wrong on this.
I'll give you the "what" on the terrific offensive player quote, but look at the comparison to what we have right now. His numbers are a million times better than those guys already out there for us. Who knows, maybe he can have a decent couple of months here and help us out. It cant hurt.... what hurts is scoring 1 or no runs a game, like we already are doing!!!Originally posted by mark1
This is another Mike Fetters, Albie Lopez, deadline deal. His highest average since 1998 is .271. We didn't give up much in this trade and got very little in return. We still have great pitching and lousy hitting. Joe Jr called Mondesi a "terrific offensive player" I want what Joe's been smoking.
