This is the kind of guy who needs his ass kicked publicly. The 12 year old had to be there with parents. There is a time for humility and complacency, and a time to deal with people who physically steal from your children.

It was probably better for the kid that his dad not get arrested for brawling with another fan over that football. His dad did the right thing, and so did Montel and the Cardinals.

I just wish we had a good picture of that guy so we could plaster it all over the media and publicly humiliate him.

Does S.A.F.E. step in for these types of scenarios? Or are they too busy telling people to sit down? :sarcasm:

If it had been a Ravens fan they took the ball from, they would have been kicked out of the stadium, publicly flogged and shamed. But the kid was a Cardinals fan so S.A.F.E. couldn't care less.

Good for the Cardinals and Motel for making the kids night.

I've seen this situation dozens of times in football and baseball games..
I'm not really a fan of anarchy and mob rule, but I could make an exception for these A wholes

This is the kind of stuff that makes me glad I gave up my season tickets after 20 years. Way too many low-life vermin bottom feeding dead enders, that go to these games. I'm glad they took care of the kid. Its just revolting that something like that happens though. It sickens me.

Montel then got the kid approved for a short-term loan at Money Mutual!

Way to make the kid's day while also ruining his life, Montel!

Not sure how he found it, but my friend who writes for ABC 15 posted this picture on his facebook page. I bet someone here knows who it is.

Meh... you aren't in that guys shoes. The kid never really had the ball in his control. Within a second it was being batted around. It would be so easy to not notice that CJ meant to give it to the kid in the chaos after a TD. Now, if he knew, he is a total asshat. Kind of like that Saints fan a year or two ago who refused to give a ball to a woman who was of fan of the other team and they gave it to her after a score. He straight up took that ball, knowing exactly what he was doing.

Some people have no shame. Either way he's an asshat. Give the kid the ball and get on with your life.

I think we need to consult Dean Blandino for a ruling here.

Remember when Ricky Proehl threw a ball to his sister and some Giant fan took it from her?

OT a little but Who remembers the Sun Devil stadium days when you got a ball, however you got it from a missed field goal to a player throwing it into the stands, security would HUNT YOU DOWN and get that ball. lol No joke! It was hilarious and sad at the same times... I dont know if it was an NFL rule or just the old man not wanting to buy new footballs, lol whatever it was they were serious about recovering those balls!

I saw some valiant efforts tho. This one group of guys had this whole coordinated effort where they were passing the ball over sections and a guy made a run for it, did he get the ball? I like to think he did. :)

I was once at a hockey game and some scumbag man knocked me and two young kids down while diving for a t-shirt. Literally knocked the three of us to the ground. (He was behind us and jumped forward for the stupid shirt.) Then he got up and ran away.

People ... aka adults ... need to settle down.

Glad this kiddo got what he was supposed to get and more. Way to go, Montel and the Cards organization.

Yes I sat in the south end zone and saw many a fool think they were leaving with the ball. Well 1 game I did get one when the net malfunctioned before a field goal, I threw it as far as I could over to the east side stands where it could be liberated. :)
