Good to see. Congrats, Miggy. Leading all NL catchers in RBI's (by 8 over the next closest). And throwing out base runners once again.

I hope this is a reminder that RBI's are more important than swinging from the heels, which caused a drop in BAvg from .282 and .286 to .230 and in RBI's from 86 and 88 to 42 (between 2011-12-13).

Keep up the good work and, remember, your name isn't Goldy. Your job is to hit singles and doubles and drive him in.

David Peralta

Last week, I posted that I would like to see David Peralta moved to #3 in the D-backs batting order (putting an on-base guy and a hit-and-run guy ahead of him in #1 and #2) and Goldy moved to cleanup (so we would have a legitimate cleanup hitter) with RBI's from Montero, Trumbo and Hill behind him.

I guess I am hoping that the D-backs can steal N.L./St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny away. He is batting Goldy cleanup in the All Star game, with McCutchen, Puig and Tulowitzki hitting in front of him and Stanton behind him.

It is not easy rooting for the D-backs nowadays. I guess I'll just have to daydream that we have a talented manager who knows how to put a batting order together.

NOW BATTING CLEANUP -- NUMBER 44 -- PAUL GOLDSCHMIDT -- 1st BASE.

:thumbup:I like it!!!

I'm a big believer in hitting your best overall hitter 3rd. Maybe when I feel more energetic I will put some research in but I'd bet good money that statistically we have a better chance of scoring runs with Goldschmit, and his huge OBP, in the 3 slot where he can not only drive in runs but get driven in and extend early innings... and potentially see more at bats, than hitting 4th, with less considerably less opportunity to capitalize on his huge OBP.
