It is pretty cool that Spruill in his first Major League start is pitching to the Catcher to whom he's been pitching in the Minors this year. Know one knows his stuff better.

The D'backs recent moves (for whatever reasons) are a breath of fresh air in climbing out of their rut. It could help the rest of the roster come to life.

I haven't checked, but might it have been that none of our exititng starting pitchers had four days rest?

And I don't think we should be putting Collmenter in and out of the starting rotation. We have been using him irregularly as it is.
