Monty suffers minor injuries in crash (AP)

Scottish golfer Colin Montgomerie sustained bruises to his left side in a car crash Thursday, and said he was lucky to escape with only minor injuries. Montgomerie, who was the European captain in this month's Ryder Cup win over the United States at Celtic Manor, was driving a BMW from his home in Dunning to see his father in Glasgow when the accident happened.
