He's spewing the nonsense that the "cheap" Cardinal organization will not only leave players unprotected this offseason, but that Whisenhunt may also be stolen away. Look, the Cardinals may decide not to extend certain guys, but those are decisions that good franchises like the Eagles make routinely. When Whisenhunt re-signs for 6 years, I want to stick down Mortenson's throat. MORON!!

I was somewhat surprised to hear that you called Mortenson a Jackass, so I went back and looked-----couldn't say for sure because he was braying all over the place and I don't understand braying.

Well, we will see.

This offseason will be very, very interesting. With the way the financial winds are blowing the Cardinals will have to decide between:

1. Going back to "El Cheapo" with the excuse they don't have money to compete with the big boys and are doing what they can to "stay afloat".

or

2. Realizing they have the presonel to grow the team's exposure nationally. With no salary cap, that means they can sign whomever regardless of the total. Keep Dockett, Boldin, Dansby, Watson, Breaston, etc., etc. Keep the core together, continue to win, continue to gain popularity, and continue to make money, and make more money.

I have no idea what is going to happen.

If the team wanted Dansby, they would have resigned him already. Breaston will probably too be let go. (asking price will be too high) Dockett is definitely staying and he won't get a new year for at least another year, probably 2. Boldin might get a new contract next year. Watson probably has the best chance of getting resigned.

You have to throw Leinart, Rolle, and even Rackers into the mix for next year as well.

Keep Rolle, Rackers, Dansby and maybe Breaston.

Trade Leinart

Sign Bulger and maybe draft a project at QB. I still believe that if Bulger can just take time off and heal up and get his confidence back he can still be an above average QB in the NFL.

One thing we could do is resign Breaston and then package Boldin and Leinart for extra picks or deal them separately if we think we can get more value that way.

We need to get to the point where we can reload out of the draft. We have high talent at many positions now. These next few years will be really telling if we can reload as opposed to rebuild.

There are only 2 ways to be successful long term in this league. Combination of good coaching and the ability to draft well, and to buy your players via free agency. Even that hasn't really been successful since the 49er glory days.

1) In regards to Dansby it takes two to negotiate. The Cardinals were offering him a fair deal but he wanted to be paid the equivalent of a pass rushing DE. He's good but not that good

2) Breaston is a RFA and he'll probably be given a middle or high tender (which isn't that expensive). So if he goes anywhere we'll get at least a 2nd rounder in return.

3) Dockett has too many years on his deal for them to restructure. He's too much of a bargain

4) With Boldin, he might get his extension this offseason or we'll trade him. I don't think that we go through another offseason of just keeping everything status quo with him

5) We'll extend Leinart and Rolle IMO

Well if we sign Watson I hope it isn't for very much. Not happy with his season at all.

The "key" to me is Michael B....

He seems to be on a "mission" to get his Dad to hoist the Lombardi trophy before he passes. As for Mortensen, he seems to be in the group of media, fans, etc. that WANT (for some reason) to see the Cards' fail. They're just waiting to yell, SEE? SEE?? The CARDS STILL STINK!! Whatever! To me, the Cards in recent years have been willing to "invest" in their good players and keep building for the Future. BUT, they WILL NOT go over-board. Remember, the whole Calvin Pace situation?? Seems to me our "D" has not only survived losing him BUT is now BETTER! GO CARDS! :D

Whizz will have a sitdown at the Bidwill Compound with William, Drink a few rounds of Crown Royal and Coke, and explain what he needs for The Cards the next 6 years to become a champion.

I was yelling at the screen when Mort came on and started spouting Ignorant crap. He went on to say something about the Cards not doing something about Dockett's rookie contract as an example... Hello, it isn't his rookie contract. The Cards already restructured it.

Mortenson is the biggest hack on ESPN and that is saying something.

Agreed. Mortenson is an idiot.

Plus it is a complete double standard with the Cardinals and the NFC East teams that the media just loves rubbing up on.

When the Cardinals pick, chose, and make careful decision about who to sign and when, they are cheap.

When Philadelphia, and the Patriots do it, they are "smart" and "business savy"

The same Mort who predicted this morning on Mike and Mike that Jacksonville may take Tebow with a mid-first round pick. The reason being that it isn't an early pick where you have to lay out a lot of money.

In other words, they might take a Third Round prospect (at best) in the first round, because they won't have to pay him a lot. How'd the last first round QB-who-wasn't-an-NFL QB turn out for Jacksonville - Matt Jones?

Just listen to that man speak, it sounds something like this: "um, er um er, listen, uh, ah uh, you know, um er um, (insert stupid reaching comment here)"

if Vince Young can be a 1st round pick, i don't see why Tebow can't. Tebow has better mechanics, neither has taken any snaps from under center, and both are good runners.Albeit different style runners. Young is much more elusive. Terrelle Pryor, i have seen as a projected 1st rounder and he can hardly play at the collegiate level.

They oftentimes wait until its absolutely necessary. Didn't Graves work for a year or something w/o a contract?

You just answered your own question. Tebow's smash-mouth running style won't work in the NFL. He wouldn't make it through his first game against NFL defenses if he ran like he did in college.

Hopefully they will sign him to a Dockett like contract. Not the one he wants, the one he resigned. A bit overpaid for his production at the time, but now it looks like an absolute steal. I feel he will blossom into something special.

Season tickets. That's the only reason that they take Tebow. He will be sure to energize that fan base, at least temporarily.

LOL....

Well we are Cardinal fans; some habits are hard to break. No memo issued there was just a temporary moratorium taken on figuring the different ways that we could get in (or not get into) the playoffs and how many different opponents we could have. Most folks knew the truth about Mort but some harmless reinforcement of the fact is fun.

I sent two letters to ESPN concerning Motenson and Gruden. Both made errors intheir so called "expertise" comments.

Mortenson Said that both Dockett and Bolden were still playing under their original rookie contracts when discussing how cheap the Bidwells were; when they both were signed to new contracts.

Also Gruden mentioned that the 9ers have defeated the Cardinals 3 straight gams.

ESPN is just what we thought they are!!!!!!!!!!!
