It's a tough call... The easy thing to say is that Manny will simply do his thing and beat the crap out of Shane. But this fight is way more complex than that.
First, Shane has never really been beat up. Vernon Forrest got to Shane like nobody else ever has - so that was a one off. Other than Forrest, no other fighter has ever really gotten to Shane. He's only had 6 losses and has never been stopped by anyone. He fought Mayweather with an injured shoulder, and Floyd still couldn't take him out.
However, Shane is almost 40. Aside from B-Hop, you just can't stop the clock and the impact of father time. Unlike B-Hop who continues to fight well, but against average at best fighters, Shane is now going up against a fighter who is arguably the greatest of all time. Who is also in his prime.
At the same time, Manny hasn't lost a fight since 2005. You have to wonder just how long that streak can continue, particularly for someone like Manny who has so many out of the ring ventures that keep him busy... I mean, he is a congressman in the Phillipines... More than the physical side, I wonder if Manny can keep that mental edge he'll need to defeat someone of Shane's pedigree.
Shane can still punch, and he's still pretty damn fast. Manny beat the crap out of Margarito who is probably the biggest puncher Manny has ever faced. But, Margarito is slow. Shane also beat the crap out of Margarito - in fact, Shane knocked him out. And Shane is 100x faster than Margarito...

I still think, all things considerd, that Manny will win the fight. I think it will go the distance and I think Shane will make it a great action fight. And if Manny is even slighly off - mentally - Shane could actually steal this fight...
I say Manny in a decision, but, I would not at all be surprised if Shane did something shocking and either won on a decision, or, actually stopped Manny.

Props to Mosely for having the balls to get in the ring unlike some other chumpstain that will go unnamed. I think Pac takes it rather easily, I definitely plan on watching.

I expect MP to win but I am concerned that Margarito was able to land some shots on him, if Mosley does, he's good enough to follow up, Margarito wasn't.

I also agree with 82 I worry about all the non boxing stuff Manny is involved with. I think this is his last fight unless Mayweather mans up, and I worry he might be distracted and get hit with a shot by a guy talented enough to finish him.

I still find it incredibly ironic Mayweather made all the accusations against Manny and then went and fought Mayweather, who was involved in Balco and finally admitted in 2009 that he knowingly used EPO in addition to the cream and the clear. And it's even funnier now that Manny is fighting him too.

Now that's a sweet gig you got there.

Try to stand by Manny's wife Jinky , then you're sure to be on tv.

This fight has absolutely 0 juice for me. No way I would pay for it. I'll probably go watch it somewhere but that's just because I love boxing and just for that remote 1/100 chance that Shane lands a shot and beats Manny.

Even Manny and Shane seem to know it's a joke. When have you ever seen two fighters smiling and laughing at eachother at the weigh in? When they turned to face eachother for the typical (lets square up and do our mean face) moment, neither of them could keep a straight face. I thought Shane was gonna hug Manny and say; 'thanks for the 12mil bro'

:(

If Mosley even makes it interesting I'll be shocked.

Manny smiles at most of the stare downs.

After that fake knockdown in the 10th Manny looks pissed though I don't know if he has enough time for a knockout.

Shane needs to retire... He offered no resistance tonight at all... barely threw any punches.
Manny was off tonight as well. Definitely not his best performance by any stretch.

The only fight left tha would mean anything is Manny vs Mayweather. Anything else is pointless.

This fight was exactly as I predicted, a total fraud of a fight. Never even remotely interesting. Shane knew he had no chance from the word go he was just there for the money. Even Manny was frustrated by how boring the fight was.

Bummer, but expected.

Unless a worthy challenger comes up, I wont bother watching another Mayweather or Pacquiao fight until they fight eachother.

You were 100% correct.. Sugar Shane is a loser just collecting checks at this point.. No desire to regain his past glory..

Yeah that's yet another example of what is wrong with Boxing. Championship fight, PPV and the ref gets influenced by someone outside the ring counting and decides it's a knockdown?

It was bad enough that Manny had to deal with a guy who once he got knocked down was afraid to get hit, but to then have the ref make that preposterous knockdown call was a double whammy.

It was interesting hearing Manny talk about his legs afterwards, I couldn't decide if he was saying he didn't train enough and his legs were tired, or if he has an injury to his legs that popped up again?

$65.99 for that fight was way too much thought, I'm a big fan of Manny but unless it's Mayweather I'm not sure I'll be paying for any more fights, there aren't any viable opponents.
