ESPN says deal is iminent. For a 4th round pick.

WOW.

Fox 25 here in boston says its already done and will be announced today.Dont they have enough WR's? Chad Jackson, Troy Brown, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth,Randy Moss,Reche Caldwell,Kelly Washington not to mention Watson who is just like a WR. They are 7 deep at WR

Seemed odd to me also. How the once mighty have fallen. A 4th round pick for Moss.

I'm sorry, but Moss doesn't seem to be a Patriots or a Belichick kinda guy. He short-arms nearly everything going over the middle and doesn't give it everything on every play. He's still a threat mind you, but I just don't see the same blazing speed he possessed in Minnesota. We'll see!

clearly losing to the Colts made an impression on Bob Kraft

It will be interesting to see -- its kind of a radical departure from the Pats historical MO--

we see if it works

Those WR don't match up to moss. Moss could re-emerge to where he once was with Brady throwing to him. Man!! And on a winning team with a chance for a superbowl... Bilicheck won't let him slack. I am sure moss wouldn't want to slack anyway being with the patriots

Let me get this straight . . . we get to move up 4 spots by giving the Raiders a 4th round pick, but New England gets Randy Moss by giving the Raiders a 4th round pick?

I would have taken Moss.

First Merriweather then Moss? I guess character is not a big issue for them anymore.

It should be fun to watch Favre's reaction to this trade. He has guaranteed that Moss would be a Packer. He will probably blow a gasket over this. Since the Packers have basically done nothing in the offseason, I predict that he will either ask to be traded or retire!

Or at least posture that way. He made his decision to return way too early and with too little fanfare.

If anyone can get the most out of Moss it will be BB ...

And they just said on ESPN that Moss ran a 4.3 40 down in Miami where he is training ..

Interesting.

I'm not sure how they'll use him. As one of the guys, which Moss might get antsy with, or as their clear cut #1 receiver. Definitely worth a watch through the season.

Well, the Patriots have completed the sell of their soul to the devil. The days when sportscasters could paint them in glowing tones of "doing it the right way" are gone.

Moss and Stallworth on the ends. Plus their catching TE's. Brady Passing to them? Man this is going to be one sick offense.

... and they took Kareem Brown from U of Miami in the 4th round. Just a team full of thugs, huh? Vince Woolfork, already there. Hide the women and children.

NFL is full of idiots. Taking 3 U of Miami thugs in the first round. Whatever are they thinking?

really? which turds have caused problems since the Pats acquired them? funny how Dillon became the consummate professional as soon as he got there.

Moss will be fine, as will Merriweather. They know what BB will require of them, and they will work well with the new guys in Stall and Washington
