What bands had the most bizarre names ever?

Some that immediately come to my mind are the Butthole Surfers, Buzzcocks, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Dead Kennedys, Talking Heads....Just to name a few....

I honestly dont know the answer to your question, but yes....Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band is the correct answer... In fact, they performed that song during the cabaret scene in The Beatles "Magical Mystery Tour"....

and that's how they wanted you to spell it. They were good friends of mine and a great band in the vein of Faith No More. Very creative trio they were.

Meat Puppets

I used to listen to the Meat Puppets a lot back in high school. I remember seeing them play at Silver Dollar Club before it became right field of the BOB.

That was a great show. It was on halloween and the band all had masks of presidents on, but they had them covering their hair, not their faces. So if they were looking out towards the audience you saw their normal face, but if they put their heads down to look at their instruments you saw Ronald Reagan, or Richard Nixon, funny stuff.

Also saw them play at some place in tempe off of Mill inbetween two bars, can't remember what it is called? Hayden's ampitheatre or something like that? The Charlattans UK and They Might Be Giants played that same bill. Good show.
