Who said sequels aren't any good? Nearly 10 years have passed since Sarah Connor was targeted for termination by a cyborg from the future. Now her son, John, the future leader of the resistance, is the target for a newer, more deadly terminator. Once again, the resistance has managed to send a protector back to attempt to save John and his mother Sarah. Awsome CGI effects for a 1991 film. Arnold, Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, and Robert Patrick are all great in their roles.

I like all 3 of the movies, but on a pure "thrills" level, I think this one takes the trophy. I do think, however, that the first movie is better, but that may be because it doesn't rely as much on special effects. In T2, Robert Patrick was an effect himself. Plus, there's nothing wrong with seeing Schwarzenegger as a bad guy.

I wasn't all that impressed with T3. Are they continuing the series without Arnold?

I agree. I like the first one best. I thought it was kind of a rip off that they made Schwarzenegger a good guy in the 2nd one.

I absolutely hated Edward Furlong's character. His squeaky voice was beyond irritating.

I recently re-watched it. The first was the better film but this one was a pretty fun movie. The only sequel to win an academy award when the first was not even nominated.

The trivia section at imdb is insanely long.

t2 is my favorite but is also the one I saw first. t1 is cool but to me holds no candle. t3 was suprisingly great and fun to watch. I thought it was going to be terrible.

Have yet to see t4

Terminator 2 is the best film I have ever seen hands down. It surpasses the original in almost every way except the first film had a darker moodier atmosphere. But Terminator 2 has much much more, more character development, better acting strong direction, and THE most amazing visual effects ever!!! Cameron's and Schwarzenegger's best movie. A true classic. The Best Action Movie.

While my enthusiasm doesn't quite match that of tangobit4, I agree about the special effects. They still looked good 20 years later.

I still find Robert Patrick to be the scariest bad guy ever in this movie. I can barely stand to see him in anything else, because his character in this scared me so much.

The extended version adds a lot to the movie. If you haven't seen it you should (I have it on Blu-Ray). ;)

Excellent, scary movie!
