Go Cardinals! Yay!!!
Movie A Day - Road House
I'm stealing a day from arthurraccon. And I'll do it again if he doesn't start posting!
You can't call yourself a red blooded American man unless you've subjected yourself to this one! And if not, go turn your T.V. on. Chances are TBS is playing it.
Plot: Dalton, the best bouncer in the backwoods (crazy redneck, or is it enraged hillbilly). Is hired to clean up a dirty bar.
What is there not to like about this movie? Patrick Swayze is at his mullet-lovin' best as the philosophy-spewin' bouncer who cracks heads and enlightens all at the same time! It is so full of unintentional humor that it's become kind of a classic despite its cheesiness.
Everybody who's seen it has their favorite line. My personal has to be one of the goons saying "I used to **** guys like you in prison!". I spit beer through my nose the first time I heard that one. What else do you expect from a screenwriter named David Lee Henry (who also wrote the craptacular Segal flickOut for Justice) and a director name Rowdy. Think they were going for the redneck audience?
