This was a great movie for a kid that wants to train. Jason moved to Seattle as a teenager and had no friends. He made quick friends with R.J. and tried to make friends, but failed.

There were some great training scenes. My favorite was when he was running around some track and the person timing him said “man, there must be something wrong with this watch”. He also did several Karate training scenes that were really cool. (foot in a loop, 2 finger pushups, and catching oranges.)

The great Jean-Claude Van Damme was his enemy.

From Amazon:

Plot Summary

Genres: Action, Drama
Tagline: Tonight, He either fights for his life or he'll be running for the rest of it.
Plot Synopsis: Jason Stillwell, a Bruce Lee fan, is beaten numerous times and trains from the ghost of Lee. Jason then must use his newly acquired skills to save Seattle from a crime syndicate, whose top martial artist is the deadly Ivan.

Horrible acting in this one, punctuated by some kind of dancing number in his garage...

That said, I love when people pick bad movies as their Movie-A-Days!

The acting was absolutely horrible. However, there are a few scenes that are very cool. I’ll stop now, because it’s my movie. But come on guys, give it a break….

Now all kidding aside.

This was my favorite movie when I was 10. My brother makes fun of my to this very day for liking that move. Some of the worst acting ever, worst Bruce Lee impersonator, and worst editing of all time.

Yeah, this is pretty much true. There are just too many errors to list, but for some reason I really liked this movie when I was a kid. I watched it once as an adult and decided that I would forget that experience and just remember it as it was.

As a side note, I used to work in a restaurant and one of my best friends had also seen the movie. When things started to get crazy, one of us would look at the other and say “NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER!” We would crack up laughing and then totally rock our current situation. Good times……
