Just a friendly reminder for those of you who want to join in on the festivities but don't know how ... click here and say that you want in or simply PM Chaplin.

Alright back to the subject at hand ...

This is another one of those movies that probably not many of you have not seen or heard of. In fact whenever I bring this movie up in coversation the usual response is "They made a movie?". Well yes they did and it features a pretty good cast too.

Stars: Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, Martin Mull, Michael McKean, Eileen Brennan, Madeline Khan, Leslie Ann Warren

SYNOPSIS: Based on the famous board game, this movie begins by following 6 characters (you know them all ... Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Etc.) as they are invited to the mansion of the man who is blackmailing all of them. However, when he begins saying his new list of demands for each of them a small, tiny problem occurs ... he ends up murdered. You then watch as the crew (each with their own motive) tries to figure out who the murderer is and why now more murders are taking place.

Don't let the plot fool you into thinking this movie is just a "who-done-it" since in truth this movie is a true mix of dark campy comedy, slapstick, and a murder mystery all wraped into one! It also feature 3 different endings as to did the crime.

Just a fun movie that I love ... that brings the game to life with a good cast and a lot of dark comedy. Another movie that I highly recommend to anyone for a good time!

Favorite Line(s): "Is everything alright?"
"Yeah 3 bodies ... everythings fine!"

Watched this in the theater a couple of times. I really liked how they had the multiple endings. Not only was the game pretty cool when I was growing up (I remember playing this for hours) but the movie was very funny!!!

As far as the board game goes - I've got the Simpson's version - pretty funny stuff.

LOL! No. When I first read your post about a singer being in the movie, I thought you were going to write about Jane Wiedlin. She played the singing telegram girl in the movie and she also sang and played guitar for the Go-Go's as well as putting out a few solo albums.

I know I know. I was kidding with you. But did you know that Belinda Carlisle played drums for another seminal CA punk band? Thats right. She was the first drummer for The Germs. But they had to kick her out becasue she wouldnt buy a drum set. Seriously!

By the way, Lee VIng played the corpse....

I wish I could've seen the SNL they were on but the network has said that episode will never be shown again.

"everybody needs to believe in something, I believe I'll have another beeeeeeeer."

That song sounds like a beer commercial. During the middle of that one my friend would always do the budweiser anouncer speech. I'm sXe and I still sing along to that at the top of my lungs. Classic song.

I just watched it. I was expecting a murder mystery like the game. However, like Ash said it’s more of a dark comedy. I thought it was great. I think I’m going to have to go out and by the game now, I haven’t played it in years.
