Plot Outline With a dead body laying between them, two men (Whannell and Elwes) wake up in the secure lair of a serial killer who's been nicknamed "Jigsaw" by the police because of his unusual calling card.


Plot Synopsis: Adam (Leigh Whannell) and Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) wake up chained to pipes at opposite ends of a dirty utility room. They soon learn that they have become the victims of the Jigsaw, a man who devises intricate situations to teach his victims to value their life by forcing them to hurt theirselves or others to stay alive. Jigsaw is described as a killer, but never actually does any harm to his victims. Pitted against the clock and each other, the two must work to outwit their captor and save Gordon's family, who have been taken hostage by the killer.

I saw this movie.... I had no idea the ending was going to end like it did.

Pretty gory - not usually something I can watch repeatedly.

But it did keep me scared/grossed out.

I can't do this movie. I'm too much of a ween in the horror department.

Good movie, it scared the holy living crap out of me. It grossed over $55 million on a budget of just of $1 million. Not too shabby.

I re-watched this a while back. Still holds up well even if you know the ending. Heck of a film.

I don't know about the "ween" thing but yeah, this.

This movie was groundbreaking and innovative. Sadly, they made 100 sequels and copy cat movies and diminished it's impact.
