The best of the 3 X-Men movies is my first movie of the week.

from Amazon.

Plot Summary

Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Tagline: The time has come for those who are different to stand united
Plot Outline The X-Men band together to find a mutant assassin who has made an attempt on the President's life, while the Mutant Academy is attacked by military forces.
Plot Synopsis: Already living in a society that mistrusts them, the mutants are faced with even more discrimination after an unforeseen enemy - who may be a mutant with extraordinary powers - launches a devastating attack. The news of the assault causes a public outcry against the mutants, including renewed support for the Mutant Registration Act, and William Stryker, a military leader rumored to have experimented on mutants (possibly including Wolverine), is among the most vocal supporters of the legislation. Stryker puts into motion a plan to eradicate the mutants and begins an offensive on the X-Men mansion and school. Magneto, having escaped from his plastic prison, forms an unlikely alliance with Professor Xavier to stop Stryker. Meanwhile, Wolverine heads north to investigate his past.

I've only seen the first X-Men, but I really liked it. Those comic book movies are not my type of thing, but I liked the first one well enough - maybe I should check out the second.

X-2 and Batman Begins are far and away the best (mainstream) comic book movies imo. X-3 was such a let down after this one.

Spider-Man 2 should also be put into that group.

To each their own. I thought Spiderman 2 was ok, but I didn't even like it as much as the first one.

Ugh, I thought the first one was boring, and like Superman Returns, was a retread of other superhero movies, mainly the first Superman from the 70s. (which also deserves to be on the top list)

I actually do really like the first Superman, just not as much as X-2 or Batman Begins.

I can understand people thinking Superman Returns or Spiderman as being boring, but I liked the story lines in those movies better than Spiderman 2 and to me thats probably the most important part.

I gotta agree that storylines are the most important part, it's just that Superman Returns and Spider-Man 1 both have the same storylines as the first Superman.

This was a great sequel. It's amazing how they're able to balance all these characters. They all have their unique qualities, but Wolverine is by far my favorite.
