Ok, here's the deal. I have selected the top 24 Movie Martial Artists to "face off" with one another in a series of polls to determine who would win in a Bloodsport-style Kumite.

Out of these 25 fighters, please select 20.

12 will be "shoe in's" while the other eight will have to fight their way in the tournanment.

Seeding will be determined by this intial poll, with seeding ties being judged by me.

Once determined, I will post a .jpeg of the seeding, ala March Madness.

This poll closes in 4 days.

There can be only one!

PS: Boxing is a martial art!

I don't even know what this means...nor do I know a lot of the "combatants." So, I only voted for those I know. Hope this doesn't F up your thing.

BTW, I thought Jim Kelly largley relied on the system and the calibre of players around him. I had no idea he managed to tap into his Chi and kick the Dolphins' ass with Kung Fu.

I have a logic-based system in hand to alleviate that issue when it comes time to evaluate things.

If you watch those old Bills games carefully, you can see a very young Chuck Norris sneaking off the sidelines to run "picks" for Kelly's receivers downfield.

You didn't think that James Lofton and Andre Reed were really that good did you?

No votes for John Saxon? His role in Enter the Dragon should count for something.

Wow, I had no idea that Bridgette Wilson was from Gold Beach Oregon. If you ever drive thru there on HWY 101 don't blink or you might miss it.

I was looking for Ralph Macchio, but I didn't see him on the list.

John Saxon should get a sponsor exemption or whatever. He needs to be in this thing.

Ivan Ideea...

I could add Sonny Chiba (a glaring omission on my part) as a guaranteed #2 seed, and then add Ralph Macchio and Hillary Swank as fight-ins for a Karate-Kid grudge match, and go with everyone on the list (including John Saxon).

Sound good?

I think Bruce Lee beats Jet Li in the mother of all matches. For some reason, I think Bruce's conditioning would be better.

Save that for the appropriate fight-thread when and/or if it becomes necessary!
