Not surprised to see no comments on this movie, it was too silly for adults in many ways. However I took my daughters (7 and 4) to see it tonight and they freaking LOVED every second of it. They aren't real crazy about going to the movies in general, they liked Rio but thought were asking to leave 30 minutes into things like Gnomeo and Juliet, Hop, etc... but I can tell you they were glued to the screen 100% of the time in this movie.

Honestly I've never seen them laugh and cry out AWWWWWEEEE that many times in any movie, probably ever. All the kids in the theatre were rolling actually and there wasn't nearly as much of the obvious boredom that you see in many "kids films."

So for that reason alone this movie gets 2 flippers up from me!

Jim Carey can still crack me up too. "A man your age shouldn't be talking about marble slabs." and "Did you see her? I MADE that! Nevermind I'll tell you when your older."

PS Critics crack me up, I know it was panned but this quote by some Jackass for me says everything thats wrong with "Kids Movies" today.

"Blandly inoffensive and thoroughly predictable"
Dude it's a kids movie, about penguins no less. Like I said it was by no means great or something adults will enjoy but it's supposed to be predictable and it's SUPPOSED to be inoffensive. I hate this trend towards "hiding" all this raunchy comedy into kids movies. My girls dont need to be subjected to adult jokes about sex and genitals so that I can enjoy the movie too, it's ok, a movie for kids can just be silly Hollywood.

My 6 year-old daughter absolutely loved this movie too. I don't think I've ever seen her laugh so hard during a movie, she loved those penguins. I'm not a huge fan of kid films, but I enjoyed this one. Jim Carrey has always been one of my favorite actors, so that helped. And it had Clark Gregg, I love that dude.

Now my daughter and I have a new phrase..."what's popp'n popper?"
