In this true tale of military murder, a highly decorated Marine who is desperate to cash in on his wife's life insurance policy plots to kill her. When James Chandler (Lou Diamond Phillips) of the Criminal Investigation Division gets pulled into the convoluted murder case, he soon finds his own tragic past coming back to haunt him. While others give up hope and suggest Chandler do the same, with the help of the murdered woman's grieving brother (Jason Priestley), Chandler goes beyond the call of duty to solve the crime - even bending protocol in his passionate determination to find the killer. Along with Military Police Corporal Tara Jeffries (Victoria Pratt), Chandler finally blows the case wide open, bringing down a commanding officer - and uncovering an most unlikely hitman.
