Weak excuse.

He's played 28 NFL games. He's been playing QB since he could hold a ball. His Dad basically raised him to throw a football.

Plenty of QBs have come into the league and tore it up from game 1. Especially #1 picks. Burrow and Herbert have been superb this year. Deshaun Watson was awesome as a rookie.

Stop making excuses for him. He's more than experienced enough to be better than he is. If anything he's getting worse.

You forgot to mention how awesome he was in high school... That was all the rage before the draft...

The problem is that Ramsay knows Hopkins is only running a limited number of routes and majority of them are to the sideline

Thats way to easy to defend as a defense.

Yup, Kliff has him running 2, maybe 3 routes. All on the same side. Doesn't even move him around so the defense has to adjust to switching sides.

Just lol at this route map. It's as if Nuk's head is made of metal and there's a giant magnet on the left sideline.

K1 was 20 of 38 for 113 yards if you remove 59 yard td to Arnold. Throw in Andy & Kirk getting 3 catches combined for 9 yards. Its scary bad right now smdh

Agreed. No leadership in this one. Looked like he couldn't wait for it to be over.

this is the identity of this football team, soft, checked out and no leadership.

I mean, Kyler was rookie of the year so comparing him to two rookies having good first seasons is kinda off.

He has never really had to overcome adversity in career prior to entering the NFL. Not shocking that he is struggling with how to now.
This is an extremely important statement.

The coaching staff needs to get his head in the right direction and fix the game plan.

KM needs to show his character by not being sullen and keep learning and getting better.

The toughest thing is to bet back up when you are down and go again.

But this is what builds character.

KM it's time for you to look at yourself and see where you can get better, not sulk.

He needs to continue to learn every day and stay positive.

I would imagine the exit interview with the new GM would consist of diagrams like these

You can probably go back to every game and see the same trend.

Did Dhop move around with the Texans? Not sure why we don't have him all over the place to make defenses adjust.

He faced adversity at A&M and left.
Cause sticking it out with Kevin Sumlin would have been great for his career...oh wait

There was more than just adversity at A&M. Kyler Allen transferred first basically giving Kyler the job and he still left.

Sumlin was lying to both kids.

Kliff doesnt have a clue on what he is doing at the NFL level.

Gameplanning for teams like he is playing in the Big 10.

We got a qb that is only good @ throwing outside the numbers & not much else right now. I can't remember the last time K1 hit DHop for a massive gain down the middle.

Hopkins doesnt even run routes over the middle and Kyler has been solid there as of late.

The thing is as bad as Kyler has been the last few weeks, if I'm counting right only Aaron Rodgers (37), Patrick Mahomes(33) and Russell Wilson(33) have more combined TD's passing and running than Kyler(32) does. That's not to say he's playing great and is to say even with not really knowing what he's doing yet, he's still pretty good. He's got a long ways to go, we need to get the right people around him to help him get there.

Proves the point even more so. I'm tired of these "kyler is still learning" and "Kyler is inexperienced" excuses. It's lame.

The guy has been a full time NFL QB for 20 months. That's intensive, full time, 24/7 training and learning on top of all his years playing outside the NFL and he's played 28 NFL games.

Do I expect him to be year 10 Peyton Manning level? No. But I expect him to be much better than he is.

To be fair having him try and stand in a non existent pocket and throw is not a good game plan! It was apparent early when KKs game plan left DJ on an island against Donald, this is gonna be a long day for Kyler! Seriously that’s the freaking game plan you come up with to play the Rams? No designed rollouts, quick short easy passes, screens, anything to slow down the rush, you know kinda like McVay did to us lol. KK is reminding me of Whiz system bs for god sakes teams are different come up with a decent game plan! Trying to beat the Rams from the pocket was stupid, finally change the strategy after a putrid first half, and boom put up some offense on best second half defense in the league. KK is just infuriating not sure if he’s slow or just doesn’t learn...

coaching matters, maybe an NFL quality coach and Kyler looks much different??? We don’t know hence a little patience is in order. It sucks that we may be wasting some of his rookie contract on a coach whom may not be around long

We've taken the most athletic quarterback in the NFL and made him a sitting duck in the pocket. It's mind boggling how KK has neutered him and made him so easy to be defended. Seattle, New England, and now the Rams have all kept him in the pocket and made him an easy target.

Not really a fair comparison, Mahomes in his 4th season behind a HOF NFL coach known for working with QBs. And Mahomes has earned the respect needed to get on your line like that, not to mention the ridiculously talented team that surrounds him gives him the confidence to know he can come back from any deficit. I’m sure Murray will mature he is very young but needs to be taught on an NFL level as well!
