Yeah I read that article too. I liked it because it has great sources for it's data.

It's weakness is that it ignores the QB factor and how they relate to Wins Above Replacement. You think KC regrets trading up for Mahommes?

As the article insinuated the minority successful exception to the rule, or one might say odds, is what keeps most GMs thinking that theirs will surely be the exception.

Interesting I remember San Francisco trading down completely out of the 1st round a time or two the end result was those vaunted Super Bowl teams from the 80s and 90s with Montana, Lott, Rice etc.. all so it's an imperfect science to sure

I like the article because I'm almost always in favor of trading down and getting more picks. :)
