First, Dennis Green must admit that this mess is his doing and no one else. He must admit his mistakes and then be willing to make some radical changes in season. Here's my list:

1. Move Reggie Wells to left tackle and move Big to right tackle. Big's best year ever was in 2002 when he replaced A. Clement at Right Tackle. Micheal Strahan said Big abused him more than any guy he had ever faced when Big played right tackle in 2002.

2. Move Nick Leckey in at center and move Alex Stepanovich to right guard.

3. Try Fred Wakefield at left guard. He can't be worse than Adam Haayer or Ian Allen. Wakefield is an incredibly smart guy and a very good athlete for his size. Give it a try.

4. Shipp must be the full time starter. I was against this at first, but he needs to be the guy.

5. Go to 2 tight end sets full time (Bergan and hopefullyTeyo Johnson) and only let Bryant Johnson on the field on 3rd and very, very long. Play 2 reciever sets with Fitz and Boldin and simplify the game.

6. Stop letting McCown roll out to his right. He is at his best when you let him take a deep 7 step drop, wind up and gun it down field. He sucks on those rollouts because he doesn't ever make his mind quick enough to either run or pass.

7. Move Okeafor to an elephant OLB/DE Charles Haley type position. Stand up Okeafor as a linebacker half the time and then have him put his hand on the ground half the time. Get your best 11 defensive players on the field at the same time.

8. Move Bert Berry around to create mismatches. Move him to the left, stand him up as a linebacker.

9. Let Carlos Dansby loose. Stop dropping him into coverage and let him go after the quarterback. Stop just blitzing him up the middle and let him get out wide and go after the quarterback. He's an outside linebacker. Stop using him at all 3 linebacker positions, let him blitz and be done with it.

10. Play Adrian Wilson as a rover linebacker/safety instead of trying to make him into a guy who can read defenses because he can't. Let him attack the line of scrimmage. You'll give up some big plays but you will also create some plays.

11. Get Eric Green on the field fulltime. If it means moving Rolle to FS than do it now.

We will still suck, but at least they would be fun to watch if they went with my plan.

Ya know. I like pretty much all of it but #8. I do like Berry swapping end positions ( something he did last year ) but not standing up.

Also, I'm starting to warm to the idea of Rolle at FS. I didn't think so at first, but with CB constantly being downgraded as a vital position because of offense-favored rule modifications, I say let a playmaker play at a postition with more potential teeth. Free Saftey.

My plan is to watch every game expecting to lose, then be pleasantly surprised when we happen to 'upset' someone.

I'd suggest using a fine balanced quality hammer to pound on each of your toes really good just before gametime.

The resulting relief will condition you to associate dreadful losses with lessing pain and soon you will enjoy it in spite of yourself.

Page 5, of waiting for Cardinal success.
