YOU do not need a great PG to win!

Who was the Bulls PG?

Who was the Lakers PG?

Who was the Spurs PG?

Has John Stockton beenable to win it?

How about Us when we had Kidd or Steph?

Did Gary Peyton ever lead the Sonics to a championship?

OK, all you need is a PG who hustles on fastbreaks, can get to the basket, and shoot the open J.

Most importantly a PG must not dominate the ball. Marbury, needs to dribble way to much. He allows the defence to set up and wait for him. Pluss he is a halfcourt guy, not a fast break PG that this team is built for.

This team needs a PG who will force them to run the floor. Will shoot a high percentage jump shot. Will allow Amare to dominate the ball in the paint.

Vujanic(I think thats his name) Sounds like a Steve Nash PG who IMO is a perfect style for this team.

I am perfectly happy with Barbosa as long as he plays tenacious defense, races down the court, hits his shots and moves his body around as well as the ball.

Basically I will be very happy if he gives us 30 minutes per game of what he has shown in limited playing time.

I did like watching Barbosa alot. He sure is a ball hawk.

Vujanic just has soo much hype. But I dont mind watching Barbosa for the rest of the year and then letting them both battle for the starting job next year.

The Phoenix Suns clearly want a point guard who will push the ball up the floor. However if they are going to win in the playoffs they also need somebody who can run a good half-court offense and get penetration. Jason Kidd is probably the best open court player of this generation, but he was not a good half-court point guard. In New Jersey he is much better because they have a great system and players that fit him perfectly.

What's the point? I mean, the Phoenix Suns are going to be the laughing stock of the NBA now. Barbosa will be good in 2 years maybe, but he's far from it now. He gets a few good steals a game and one good layup. He's not going to be the starting guard, I don't think.

Look on the bright side though. The Colangelos seemed to have one mission starting this season, and that will finally be able to be fulfilled. I know, some of us had our doubts if it was going to work out, but it was obvious even early on that they were going to do whatever they needed to make it happen. These measures may seem drastic, but they are just a drop in the bucket for what I always figured they were prepared to do.. Now, finally....

Joe Johnson can be the Phoenix Suns go-to guy.

Good f*cking luck.
