My speakers were working fine yesterday and today they don't work. I checked all the connections and everything is good. The light on my speaker is not going on when I turn it on. Are my speakers dead?

It sounds like your speakers are dead. It is one thing to diagnose a sound problem when the power is on and no sound comes through, but if the power is off, not a good sign.

You can try things like leaving it off for awhile and re-plugging it in, or other things, but unless the power light comes on, it is dead.

But seriously, computer speakers are cheap unless you have a giant surround sound system. IMO, I would just replace them.

Are they plugged in?

I hate to ask but I have actually "fixed" someone's speakers by doing that once.

It sounds like they are unplugged or dead.

They are plugged in. I'll probably go buy some new ones this weekend.
