I'm not 100% sure this is the one i'm turning in for the draft contest but here's the latest.
1-Mia>Vernon Gholston, just kidding, i wanted to put an OSU guy above the Mich guy,Jake Long
2-Stl>Glenn Dorsey-they have him rated the highest player and he fills a need.
3-Atl>Matt Ryan-if you're paying big money to the #3 pick and you need a QB,you may as well take the best one out there.
4-Oak> Darren McFadden-i have no reason why they take him but they will.
5-KC> Chris Long-with the trade of Allen,it comes down to Long or Gholston. They hate Oakland so try to make them regret passing on Howie's kid.
6-NYJ> Vernon Gholston- no-brainer pick. The best guy left and fits nicley into their 3-4.
7-NE> Keith Rivers-their LB's are aging and Rivers can play inside or out.
8-Bal> Ryan Clady- they draft Jonathon Ogden's replacement with a similar type athlete. Gaither can move to RT to give them a young tackle combo.
9-Cin> Sedrick Ellis- it will Marvin Lewis all of 8 seconds to get this pick into the commish.
10-NO> Leodis McKelvin- they are said to want a DT but Dorsey and Ellis are gone. CB is also a place of need and Leodis is the best.
11-Buff> Devin Thomas-total need pick. THey would be smart to trade down.
12-Den> Rashard Mendenhall-Travis is just one slip up from being out of the league and Sedrick Irvin can't be counted on. RM fits in this offense to a tee.
13-Car> Derrick Harvey-he may become the best pass rusher in the draft and Mike Rucker just retired.
14-Chi> Brandon Albert-Chicago gets lucky and gets a guy they didn't think they had a chance at.
15-Det> Jerod Mayo- they supposedly covet this guy. He could team with FSU midgets Ernie Sims and Buster Davis to form the shortest LB corp in NFL history. But two of them can actually play.
16-Ari>Jonathon Stewart- two top OL and three top CB are available but the Cards go with Edge's heir apparent.
17-KC> Jeff Otah-after filling Allens void, the Chiefs move onto their greatest need and start re-building the OL.
18-Hou> Chris Williams-they wanted Stewart but Williams fits perfectly into Houston's type of athletic, finesse o-linemen.
19-Phi> Kenny Phillips-most people have WR here but Reid will go with the FS.Big hitter that Philly say hits like Taylor and has Reed's instincts.
20-TB> Aqib Talib- here starts the very late run on talented CB's. TB got lucky with Sapp's pot use so they try their luck with Talib.
21-Was> Phillip Merling-DE is a need and Merling is too talented to be passed over.
22-Dal> Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie-Dallas gets lucky that this talent fallls to them. HIs kidney is an issue and is what lead to his slide.
23-Pitt> Mike Jenkins-The Steelers are another beneficiary of the late CB run.
24-Tenn> Lawrence Jackson-Jeff Fisher goes to USC roots to get a potential elite pass rusher.
25-Sea> Limas Sweed- this is tough call but i think they'll go with the big WR with a lot of potential.
26-Jax> Kentwan Balmer- they draft Marcus Stroud's replacement to team with John Henderson
27-SD> Gosder Cherilus- they would like to trade but,if they stay, they get their RT to give them a young tackle combo with a lot of upside.
28-Dal> Felix Jones- SD may nab Jones in front of them but JJ gets his Arkansas back.
29-SF> Dan Connor- he teams with Patrick Willis to give them a couple tackling machines in their LB corp.
30-GB> Dustin Keller- Bubba Franks is gone and they are one of the best teams at utilizing the TE. Keller is about the best around this year.
31-NYG> Tyrell Johnson- i keep hearing that the Giants are enamored with this small school safety.

the rest of the Cards draft:
2- Anthony Collins(Kansas)-he's the best left at the OL position. I would like to see Cason still on the board but it's doubtful.
3-Terrell Thomas(USC)- the Cards fill a need with the talented Thomas.
4-Jason Jones(EMU)- they could go with a speed WR(Avery?) but Jones gives them a young, talented DE
5-Orlando Scandrick(Boise St.)-more depth at CB position. This guy is ultra-quick and could become a nice player.
6-Barry Richardson(Clem)-a guy who sure passes the looks test. He provides some OL depth and has alot of potential.
7-Vince Redd-DE/OLB from small school Liberty. He has freakish size/speed numbers at 6'6 265 4.75 and is worth a shot.

Cbus, overall I like it:
1. Stewart's selection tells me, he passed his physical.
2. Two CB's, don't know if they're any good, but we do need two, IMO.
3. Like getting depth for the OL.
4. We do need a young pass rusher.

And while I know we only have seven picks, I think we need depth for the DL, and the ILB position, so one OL would be enough. And the roster probably isn't big enough for two more OLB/DE, but one would be fine. But overall I'd be estatic if it goes your way.

Not bad but I think I like my mock better.

But I think one way it could go down is
1.Cb McKelvin2.HB Matt Forte
3.DE/OLB Jason Jones

I would litterally do backflips if that happens

Or as a wet dream it would be like this.

1. HB Mendenhall
2. DE/OLB Q Groves
3. CB Godfrey/Molden or Tracey Porter

But who knows what will happen.

A possibility that Dallas may try and move up to get Felix Jones. (Kiper).

Cbus:

This is an excellent mock...maybe the best I've seen...you really thought out every pick and your explanations make complete sense.

I have a feeling we are going to see two trades in the top ten: (1) I think that Kansas City (with all the extra draft picks they have to offer) will trade up from #5 to the #2 spot to take QB Matt Ryan. They will give the Rams the #5 and two of their three 3rd rounders to do it.

So here's what this might look like:

1. MIA: Jake Long, T
2. KC (from STL): Matt Ryan, QB
3. ATL: Glenn Dorsey, DT
4. OAK: Chris Long, DE
5. STL: Vernon Ghoulston, DE
6. NYJ: Darren McFadden, RB
7. NE: Ryan Clady, T (the sacks on Brady in the Super Bowl still fresh in their minds)

I also think that New Orleans will move up to #8 in a trade with Baltimore (for the #10 pick and a 3rd or 4th rounder) to select DT Sedrick Ellis. The Saints know the Bengals at #9 want Ellis, so they make this deal.

8. NO (from BAL): Sedrick Ellis, DT
9. CIN: Derrick Harvey, DE
10. BAL: Keith Rivers, LB
11. BUF: Branden Albert, G/T
12. DEN: Jonathan Stewart, RB
13. CAR: Quentin Groves, DE/LB
14. CHI: Rashard Mendenhall, RB
15. DET: Jerod Mayo, Tennessee
16. ARI: Jeff Otah, T, Pittsburgh
17. KC: Calais Campbell, DE, Miami
18. HOU: Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
19. PHI: Dan Connor, LB, Penn. St.
20. TB: DeSean Jackson, WR, California
21. WASH: QB Brian Brohm, Louisville (shocker!)
22. DAL: DRC, CB, Tennesse St. (just as you predicted it)
23. PIT: DE Philip Merling, Clemson
24. TEN: WR Devin Thomas, Michigan St.
25. SEA: DT Pat Sims, Auburn
26. JAX: DT Kentwan Balmer, NC
27. SD: T Gosder Cherilus (great call on your part if SD keeps the pick)
28. DAL: RB Felix Jones (you have Dallas pegged)
29. SF: DE Lawrence Jackson, USC
30. GB: CB Mike Jenkins, South Florida
31. NYG: Tyrell Johnson, S, Arkansas St. (you are right on the $ here!)

I'd take Otah over Stewart if the first 15 ran that way with Justin King in the 2nd.
