Ok, despite having changed my mind about 4,000 times in my head, this is my first and last Mock I'll post.

RD1) Trade pick #7 to Miami or SD in exchange for their #11/#12 and RD2 pick. Trade the Rd2 pick we get in the trade to KC for Branden Albert and move Levi to RT. Massie/Potter and Colledge would fill the G spots (haha I said G spot).

#11/#12 - Jarvis Jones OLB Georgia - Most dominant pass rusher in the draft, taylor made for the 3-4 OLB

RD2) Best Safety available Matt Elam/Eric Reid

RD3) Marcus Wheaton - WR Oregon St- We get BA's speedster here, he'll free up Fitz and Floyd

RD4) Best interior lineman available B.Jones/B.Schwenke/D.Quisennberry

RD5) Chris Faulk OT LSU - All the talent in the world, but an injury and an early entry to the draft mean he may be available late. Boom or bust guy.

RD6) Best TE available D.Sims/M.Williams/N.Kasa - A lot of decent TE's available in this draft mean on shoudl be available late. Most of these are more in line blockers, but we can use one.

Rd7) Take a flyer

ugh another year where O line is left out in the cold....I couldn't take it

You do know Carson Palmer needs to be alive to throw the ball...and you did notice our QB's all getting killed last year...yea!?

You must have missed the part where we trade a Rd2 pick for one of the better LT's in the draft and draft an interior lineman in RD4. FYI 3 of our picks are used on lineman in my mock. With this draft our line would likely look like this

LT - Branden Albert
LG - Colledge or Potter
C - B.Jones. Schwenke/ Quisennberry
RG - Massie
RT - Levi

as compared to last year

LT - D.Batiste/N.Potter
LG - Colledge
C - Sendlein
RG - Snyder
RT - Massie

And let's not forget good ol Pat McQuisten and Scott Wedge seeing significant time due to our complete lack of depth. In my mock our depth would be N.Potter, L.Sendlein (both starters last year) and Chris Faulk.

The Line I've proposed with this draft is a DRASTIC upgrade from last year.

We can't trade down after the draft starts and still expect to negotiate for Albert later. KC's first move will determine if he stays there or goes to Miami. We have to make a move for him today, if that is the route we want to go.

A guy I know who watches every KC game says Albert is a false start machine. He states he's happy to see him go....that's not a good sign for me, but I agree that the Cards will make a move for him.

Like the Jarvis pick if they could also swing Albert. My only issue is that I doubt Cards would get a 2nd in return for moving back 4 spots in this draft. Thats a high second as well. The other issue is Albert is asking way too much, and even if the Cards could afford him, they would be blowing the wrest of the bank.

As much as I love the idea of Jarvis, OLB might have to wait one more year in favor of Warmack.

You migh be right about not getting a rd2 for moving back 5 spots. If we get a rd3 is trade our rd2 for Albert and instead of Reid or Elam in rd 2 I'd use the other rd3 for B.rambo or p.thomas

I don't see Albert negotiations as being tough.

Word was yesterday that Miami and him were pretty much done from that end. Just KC wasn't ready to pull the trigger.

So if the Cards want him they can easily match what Miami offered and offset for the different state tax rates. In other words Miami has already done 80 percent of the deal. The other 20 percent is just writing out the contract and changing the figures for state tax imo.
