I like the idea of trading down if one of our targets are not there. Sounds like something NE would do

Is Alfonzo Dennard any good?

17 San Diego---WR Jaelen Strong, Arizona St.

Just missed Shelton, but still make a Strong need pick.

What this mock lacks in accuracy or logic, it certainly makes up for in puns. Which is something.

The Chargers have two good, young WR in Keenan Allen and Malcolm Floyd. How in the world is this a "need" pick?

Then call it a value pick or something, but WR isn't a need for them. Keenan Allen can be one of the best 15 wideouts in the NFL.

What held the Chargers out of the playoffs wasn't their offense (They're going to be adequate or better as long as Rivers is playing for them); their defense was 24th in the NFL by DVOA, and that's because they couldn't stop anyone through the air.

Allen has shown flashes, but has also been inconsistent...kinda like Floyd for the Cards...Malcolm Floyd is neither young, nor good...He's older and serviceable.

Floyd was 14th in DYAR and 12th in DVOA last year.

Allen had 1000+ yards and 8 TDs his rookie season and still managed to out-perform Larry Fitzgerald this year despite battling through groin injuries before missing the last 2 games with a broken collarbone.

Don't think the Eagles will have to move up to get -Green. He should be their in the late round one picks.

Do the Browns really need a RB? I don't think they would. However, Gordon might be worth it if you feel whoever takes him in round 1 doesn't have great needs.

Chargers would grab DT Brown in a second if he was available to them. They need a DT above all else IMO. I am anxious to see Brown play in the pros no matter who gets him. I would love to see the Cards take him, but feel Cameron Erving would probably be the smartest pick for the Cards, although not so glamorous.

I would hate to see the Niners take Armstead. I am afraid he just could be a huge talent as time goes by. Wouldn't want to worry about having to face him twice a year.

If the Steelers took Cameron Erving, that would be good for us. We could pick him up in FA in a few years like we do the other Steelers.

I will be interested in following McKinnon's career to see how good he might be. Especially to see if he develops into a decent pass defender as well as run stopper. Gotta like his size and speed. Sort of wish the Cards could get him in round 3 or maybe even 2 if no one better is there. There should be tons and tons of choices in rounds 2 and 3 this year. Lots of potential starters in that group, even early round 4. Would love to see Cards trade back several times and pick up gobs of early round 3 picks.

I have a gut feeling that the Jets swap with Tampa and take Winston. The Bucs then take Marcus and get the Jets 2nd, 4th, 6th and next years #1. The Jets need to win now and Winston is ready to play now, while the Bucs still need some help and all the extra picks will help Lovie rebuild the defense and allow Glennon to start until Marcus is ready.

Didn't they just hire a new head coach and general manager? How does that translate to "need to win now"?

RB Melvin Gordon is meeting with the #AZCardinals today. Lot of talk about Adrian Peterson. Gordon a younger, cheaper option.

A mock draft is a thankless task.

As for the Cardinals, if Eric Kendricks falls to them I don't see them passing on him. It's the same plan they had for Minter. Bring a veteran in so the rookie can be worked into the lineup. Only they didn't count on Dansby playing at such a high level.
