Luke Wilson is in talks to topline Super Ex for Regency Enterprises, says The Hollywood Reporter. Ivan Reitman is directing the film, written by Don Payne, an Emmy winner as The Simpsons writer/co-executive producer.

The story centers on a man who finds out that the woman he is dating is a superhero; she decides to use her powers against him after he breaks up with her for being too controlling and neurotic.

Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson will star in Super Ex, a romantic comedy Ivan Reitman will direct for Regency Enterprises, reports Variety.

The script, written by Don Payne (The Simpsons), has Thurman playing a superhero who falls for a regular guy. He's okay with her superhuman abilities but can't take her neediness. When he dumps her, she uses her powers to turn the guy's life into a nightmare.

Super Ex will shoot in New York this fall.

Plot Summary

Plot Outline When a regular guy (Luke Wilson) dumps a superhero (Uma Thurman) because of her neediness, she uses her powers to make his life a living hell.
Plot Synopsis: When Matt Saunders meets Jenny Johnson, he thinks he's found the perfect girl. However, he decides to break things off with her when she becomes too needy, controlling, and jealous. Jenny doesn't take it well and decides to get back at him by using her superpowers, as it turns out Jenny is a superhero named G-Girl. Meanwhile, Matt and his co-worker, Hannah start to have a romance with each other which sends Jenny over the edge.

I just watched it. Rainn Wilson is one funny fellow. It was worth watching just to see his character. The rest of the movie was silly and sometimes funny. Worth watching once I guess.

I just watched it. I liked it better than I thought I would. One belly laugh, lots of chuckles.

It is what I thought it was.

Pretty predictable, but the intent wasn't to make film history. It'll pass the time.
