I agree with you Skkorp. Green is the best thing that has happened to this org in a long time. Changes need to be made and that means heads must roll, unfortunate but true.

Good article Skkorp. Green will take us to the next level with good drafting and signing a couple of FA but we are still 1 year or 2 away IMO.

I've been saying this from day one. Change is good but it isn't easy. Obviously this team needed a major overhaul. Now is the time to do it.

Do I think we make it to the playoffs this year? No. However I believe that this team will be competitive in every game. Most importantly this team will look like professionals this year. Where as last year they couldn't even get a play in on time or remember a snap count.

skkorp,

I agree, while it certainly was a blow losing Shipp and Boldin, I do not think that our record at the end of the season would be drastically different if we had them both all season long.

Boldin's rehab will allow for Fitz and Johnson to establish themselves and their development will be accelerated without Boldin (this has been mentioned by others). Freddie Jones plays a critical role in "picking up some slack". We have to find our new #3 from within and I hope that Poole ends up with the nod here. Bringing in a camp cut from another team is NOT the answer......Boldin is out but not for the whole season.

Our win/lose ratio will be improved from last year...... again I agree with you, the defense will keep us in more games than last year and will even win some for us.

It will come down to whatever improvement will come out of the O-Line and McCown. To expect better than 7-9 given what has being going down is "pie in the sky" IMHO. My expectations are slowly being influenced by realism. We have a long way to go.

Agree 100% Skkorp! Green gets a pass from me this year, no matter what happens. It is going to take time to re-build from the ruins left by the MacGinnis Regime. I'm also glad that Green is making this "his" team and that he has hit the ground running in that regard.

After what happened last year, I will be glad just to be more than a laughingstock this season.

Good article. Green I think had a good draft and his moves reflect on a big change in this organization. I like the shuffling of the players and the utter control Green has with the Cards. This team needed to be turned upside down and built from the ground up. I love Greens moves.

Good article. I bought season tickets this year because I knew from my years in Minneapolis that Denny Green will put a winning and exciting team on the field. (yes, I jumped on the bandwagon :D ). Don't be surprised if he makes a couple of moves prior to the season bringing in some players to help the team for this season; either picking up some vets that are dropped or making a trade. The key is having a playoff team in place when the new stadium opens because that will sell seats and that is the business side of pro football!

Thanks for your thoughts Skkorp. As you say, we need the football gods to smile on us and you know what? It's our turn for a little time in the sun and some pleasant surprises. Sometimes hard work and skill does the trick and increases your chances for pleasant surprises.

Green will turn it around eventually. It seems like the whole organization has rallied around Greens views. Give credit to Graves and M. Bidwill for allowing Green to do his thing. You have to beleive that green told the brass exactly what he would need to do to turn this train wreck around. They said OK, what do you need from us, with the confidence that this was not another Buddy Ryan in the making. Green is about winning games,, not trying to make friends, or look pretty with the media. I say let green do whatever weeding out he deems neccessary. If we win 5 games so be it. We have a much tougher schedule, and the record may not show it, but this team is better overall. We will be competitive, we will be mentally ready to play game in, game out. Playoffs would be great, but in truth all I want out of this year, is a healthy team, and a team that shows improvement week to week. Next year has the potential of what we all have been dying to see, the cards turn that corner and become a perennial playoff contender.
