Do your math - what three Players for what bonus and Salary. Be realistic of the players market value. We have like 23 mil. available under the cap for FA.
So sign your three with some leftover $$$$$$.

Jeff Mitchell C Carolina
Chris Hope FS Pittsburgh
Jamal Lewis RB Baltimore

I think these are all reasonable 2nd tier "very good" players.

Bentley, James, and either Clancey or Hope. Many don't think it's possible, but it's very possible, and can be done relatively painlessly under the cap. That said, there's no way in the warm place it'll happen, sadly.

Clark Kent- Maybe the best quarterback prospect Smallville has ever seen.
Barry Allen- True Downfield Threat
Cain Marko- Plays on both sides of the line, he can't be moved AND he can't be stopped.

Could you settle for Bentley, Clancy or Hope and maybe Jamal Lewis. Would that be a successful FA haul?

Eliminate the 'maybe' and make the 'or' an 'and', and I could live with that. Hope is a safety, a position that doesn't traditionally get huge contracts. Bentley would be a bigger contract, no doubt about it. Lewis will not get a huge contract anywhere. Clancy will get a decent starting contract. We could fit them all under the cap and still have some breathing room.

And a closet pooper.

I could care less about his talent level. I dont want a guy capable of doing something like taht anywhere near this team. He has mental issues.

Good enough.
Get er done.
Davenport's a possibility too. He's coming off an ACL I believe though.

No thanks to Davenport, not for a top signing anyway. I'd take him on the team, sure, but I'd want some other big-hitters to go along with him. And a roll of TP.

Yea Hope's from the Steelers. Are you pretty impressed with him. Or did he overly benefit from their system?

No, he's a good player. Probably the best secondary player available, certainly the best S.

#1 Bentley

#2 Jamal Lewis

#3 Chris Hope

You would fill 3 very strong needs and upgrade the talent on this team dramatically. You could do it and still add another player or two of decent caliber.

Add in the #1 pick who will likely contribut right away and you should be on your way!
