I thought I read something saying Nash might have bumped an official when he was arguing a call... did anyone see this? Could he get a suspension for it?

I did not see anything in the Cavs game, although he did get a technical. I'm not sure I've ever seen Nash so upset and he was entirely justified.

I did not see him talking to the ref, but he was steamed. Hope he did not, "bump", anyone.

View from the Press Box

The Most Valuable Player looks like he gets tired of being treated as less than an MVP when it comes to getting calls. After the triple-overtime loss in New York, many onlookers wondered if any MVP besides Steve Nash would not get the benefit of so many close calls and no-calls. When Nash drove at the end of the third quarter and felt he got hacked, that was about enough. Nash yelled at official Eli Roe and appeared to bump him. It worked. With 2.2 seconds to go in the quarter, Nash got a call trying to get open for the ensuing inbound.

I think it was Snow, who actually grabbed an official during the last game to simulate what he thought happened to him on a play. I wondered why he wasn't given a warning for that. However, unless it was during a TV timeout that us at home could not see, he didn't do anything like that during the game.

Was that a serious no-call on Nash? I went to a Cavs' forum and they were surprised that Nash didn't get a call when he got hacked. Was that REALLY that obvious?

It was a case where Nash got the ball slapped away and then the player came across and got his wrist afterwards, I thought it could of been called either way. I see this play called both ways alot, on first look it's all ball if they keep watching they see the foul.

Zett, I don't have the game on tape to replay, but my observation is Donyell Marshal grapped Nash's arm from behind and this was clearly a blown call by the officials. I can see why Nash was so upset as it appeared an obvious call to me (all arm if not some shoulder).

IIRC, Nash got slapped across the arm and lost the ball. He was angry because it led to an easy basket on the other end, and it was at the end of the quarter where they shouldn't have had another possession, so it really was two free points for Cleveland.

Nash was much angrier in the Memphis game last year, when he was getting manhandled by Earl Watson and Antonio Burks and his resulting turnovers were costing the Suns the game. It seemed like this technical was intentional, and it got the desired effect, as Nash went to the FT line on a flop immediately afterward (there were only two seconds left in the quarter).
