Jackson (Phoenix): Hey Steve, big fan thanks for coming here.. Can you tell us what went into the decision to sign back with phoenix?
Steve Nash: They wanted me more than Dallas, and that was extremely flattering, especially when they backed up that desire financially.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike Combs(Brandon): Steve, I'm a huge fan of yours, like all Canadians are. My question is do you believe you are going to have become more of a scorer this year then you had in Dallas?
Steve Nash: No, I don't think so. I'm just gonna try and be myself. We have lots of guys who can score on this team, so I will mostly concentrate on being a leader on the team, in any way I can.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deeman(chicago): Do you automaticially assume leadership on a team loaded with young talent?
Steve Nash: Yeah, no question.
Steve Nash: I think it's natural for me to be a leader, being the point guard and one of the most experience guys on the team.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy Onhsee(Austin,MN): How will you adapt to playing alongside Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudamire compared to palying along side with Dirk Nowitzki?
Steve Nash: I think they are different players, but they are each capable in different ways. Personally, I will concentrate on my game and then play off their strengths, which is what a point guard is supposed to do.

Curtis J. Phillips, Fort McMurray: Now that Todd MacCulloch and Rick Fox have retired there are only two Canadians left in the NBA. Yourself and Jamaal Magloire. Plus, to date only 17 Canadians have ever made it to the NBA. Will having only the two of you now effect the chance of more Canadians following?
Steve Nash: I don't think so. The NBA is a pretty unbiased league when it comes to talent. If a Canadian kid comes along with talent, the NBA will surely find a place for him. It's just a matter of Canadians working hard and succeeding.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brian (Scottsdale): Hi Steve, I'm a huge fan, so it's great to have you back in Phoenix. I'm also a huge Kevin Johnson fan, so I'm wondering how much he influenced your game when you first joined the league?
Steve Nash: I think the biggest influence he had on me, was he told me he thought I was as good as anyone he played against, and that was a huge compliment for me as a young player.

Jay (Dallas): Hey Steve! You've seen a lot of new guys come into Dallas over the years and attempt to acclimate themselves to you, Dirk and Fin. Now that you are one of the new guys in Phoenix, what steps are you taking to develop a rapport with your new teammates?
Steve Nash: I'm just trying to get to know the guys. I'm trying to get an understanding for their game and take the time for us to get comfortable with each other.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt (Seattle): Who is your favorite point guard of all time and what did you like the most about his/her game?
Steve Nash: My hero was always Isiah Thomas. I just loved how skilled he was, and what a great competitor he was.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adam (Lafayette): Steve, welcome back to Phoenix! We missed you. What do you see as your role this year and what do you bring to the table to make this years team better than last? Thanks!
Steve Nash: I think leadership and experience first of al. Hopefully I can make the game easier for my teammates, help them get better. If I can contribute in those areas, I think that will be good for us as a team.

Bobby, Mililani Hawaii: Hi Steve, How do you think Yuta Tabuse will help the Suns? What do you think of his overall game?
Steve Nash: I like Yuta, I think he's a very good player. But as with many rookies behind veterans, you never know if he will be able to contribute right away.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaryd, Victora B.C.: Your other two stints with NBA teams (PHX and Dallas) you came in as a young player with something to prove. How different is it coming in with knowledge and skill you have learned over the years?
Steve Nash: It's a lot different now. It's strange to come in as a veteran and leader right from the start. But after eight years in the league, I'm feeling pretty comfortable with that.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jordan (Fort Worth): Hey Stephen! I don't want to make things uncomfortable here, but how much are you going to miss Dallas and the fans out here? I can speak for myself and I know that it's gonna kill me not seeing you in a Mavericks jersey. I wish you unbelievable success out there, and I can't wait for you to be in town on November 16th!
Steve Nash: Thank you. It will be awful to go back to Dallas with another team. I will miss the fans very much there, they were very good to me, and very supportive. It will be very difficult.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richelle(Little Rock, AR): Nashy, what do you think of the young PG Barbosa?
Steve Nash: I love him. I think he's a terrific talent who loves to play and loves to work hard and he's eager to learn. I think he'll be a top guard before long.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jared(Phoenix): Hey Steve, good luck this year. How are the suns going to match up against a talented west defensively this year?
Steve Nash: This is going to be an offensive team, and our success will be predicated on being a running, attacking team. I think we can be adequate to good on defense and push the ball on offense and that should lead to success here.
Steve Nash: Thanks for the overwhelming response. Us players in the NBA really appreciate all the support of our fans, and we realize we wouldn't be here without you, and it wouldn't be any fun without you guys.
