This, to me, is the best news of the week, Nash feeling well.

Nash feeling good after rest
By Jerry Brown, Tribune April 19, 2006
Steve Nash had that twinkle back in his eye Tuesday, and it wasn't just because he had just seen his face on a Wheaties box for the first time.
After taking three days and two games off to rest his overworked body, Nash felt an extra zip in his step during Monday's 115-79 rout of the Hornets. And while his numbers (12 points, six assists in 25 minutes) were modest, the smile on his face was almost boastful.
"That time off was great for me," he said. "I felt better on the court than I have for a month. I had my legs back under me. It was only a few days, but it was a recharge.
"It's just no fun when you're out there and you can't move the way you want to and really struggling. You have to play a different way."
Nash said he wants to play regular minutes in tonight's season finale against woeful Portland. The Suns will be without Boris Diaw, who came down with a 104-degree fever on Tuesday and didn't make the trip. But Nash wants the rest of the regulars to build on the cohesion and good feelings generated from Monday, when they hit a franchise-record 20 3-pointers, spaced well and moved the ball as if it were on a string. "We want to play well, and we want to play the right way," Nash said. "You can't just say, 'OK, here's the playoffs, let's flip the switch now.' We've only got one more game to concentrate on getting sharp and playing at a high level."
RESTED & RELAXED
Suns coach Mike D'Antoni was relieved to see Nash look so fresh and also get a good report from Raja Bell, who kept his shooting touch (five 3-pointers in nine tries) while calming down a strained quadriceps. Bell played 36 minutes, much more than expected, and will be in the 40s tonight with Diaw out.
"Raja was fine. He even asked to go back in (for the final seven minutes) because he wanted to keep working a little bit," D'Antoni said. "Boris is sick, but he probably could use the rest. He's played a lot of basketball (a month of the European Championships before training camp) and a lot lately when we were short-handed."
The Suns also want to have Leandro Barbosa and James Jones on an upswing heading into the postseason. The two combined for 41 points and 18 rebounds Monday, with Jones producing 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
"We feel like we're going to get a lot out of those two young guys, and when we do it really puts us over the top," D'Antoni said.
SUNDAY BLUES
Prevailing wisdom has Game 1 of a Lakers-Suns series beginning Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on ABC, which isn't great for Phoenix if recent history is any indication.
The Suns are 1-3 on ABC this year (beating Dallas and losing to Cleveland, Detroit and the Lakers) and a woeful 2-7 on Sundays.
But on Saturdays, the Suns are 8-3 and have won six straight. And on ESPN, the Suns are 7-2 — even counting Friday's giveaway at Golden State — and a perfect 6-0 at home.
