I recently watched this one. What a mistake. I was really surprised when I saw that John Hughes wrote this. He wrote some great 80's movies, but this definitely wasn't one of them. There were plenty of unique characters that could have been funny, but the writing was just awful. Perhaps I would have liked it more if I had seen it when I was a kid.
