Aaron Rodgers had one more in him... but it might not have went to according to his plan.

The former New York Jets quarterback joined the "Pat McAfee Show" for a conversation once again and had plenty to say about his ex team. A good chunk of it was aimed at New York's new head coach in Aaron Glenn.

Rodgers mentioned a variety of issues he had with the way his departure from the Jets went... but his candid chat had many questioning him after he revealed his thoughts with few questioning the team.

That likely wasn't part of the plan for Rodgers...nonetheless, here's a roundup of national media reaction to Rodgers' discussing his departure from the Jets:

It's nice that in such a divisive world, we can all unite behind Aaron Rodgers being freaking insufferable.

On the @PatMcAfeeShow, free agent QB Aaron Rodgers says, "I'll set it all straight. From the jump, I'm in a different phase of my life, I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I've made... and people in my inner circle battling difficult…

With all due respect, Aaron Rodgers perhaps should check on how Joe Douglas feels after signing many of his friends, and Robert Saleh who was the subject of several hit pieces--both of whom lost their jobs--before carrying on about this. Lost-their-jobs. Yes, for multiple… https://t.co/3UCSK5Qo3M

If you're still listening and hanging onto every word Aaron Rodgers says at this point, that's on you.

What people may forget about Aaron Rodgers is that, like Tom Brady, it took two decades for him to be a free agent.

I think it's incredibly selfless and gracious for Aaron Rodgers to offer to play for only $10 million.

Aaron Rodgers was likely going to feel disrespected regardless.

If the Jets ended things over the phone, he would’ve called them out for not meeting in person. pic.twitter.com/AdUhasJHa4

Aaron Rodgers: "Retirement is a possibility."

Chuck Noll: "If you're thinking about retirement. You're already retired."

I trust Chuck more than Tomlin and Rooney.

Aaron Rodgers is not a fan of the new #Jets regime. Rodgers said when he went to meet with new HC Aaron Glenn, Glenn quickly left the room to get GM Darren Mougey. Rodgers expected a long conversation after flying cross-country, but Glenn simply asked, “You sure want to play… https://t.co/UPJOoBdYaJ

The Steelers should move on from Aaron Rodgers. He's currently not good enough to justify The Aaron Rodgers Experience. https://t.co/9Lq3B3OLog

Aaron Rodgers: <flies across country for in-person meeting w new Jets HC>

20 seconds into meeting:

Aaron Glenn: so do you want to play football

Rodgers: yea, I’m interested
