Too much good stuff
(10/30/2007) DENVER, Colo. – In the very first week she was eligible, Northern Arizona swimming and diving freshman Kim Kopra earned her first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Athlete of the Week award. Kopra helped the Lumberjacks to a 3-1 dual meet record in Texas last weekend, earning three wins and three second-place finishes.
Kopra was a part of two winning relays at TCU/vs. Centenary on Oct. 26, swimming the breaststroke leg of the first-place 200 medley relay team (1:47.77) and also swimming on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:38.87). Individually, she placed first in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:06.22.
A day later against Texas A&M and North Texas, Kopra swam on the second-place 200 medley relay team (first vs. North Texas) in a time of 1:48.57. She finished second to Texas A&M but first vs. North Texas in the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.48, and again second to Texas A&M but first vs. North Texas in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:24.52.
Her 100 breaststroke time (1:05.48) already ranks as the third-best all-time at NAU and is currently second in the WAC this season.
