Yup - ASU passed him over - AD at the time said ASU was too high profile job to take someone from a lower echelon school like NAU

Yeah, not sure why ASU is going the retread route again. with the Capel thing unless it truly is Colangelo doing his boy K a favor. Capel had about the same conference winning % at Oklahoma as Herb did at ASU. And he inherited a much stronger program and was playing with Blake Griffin for almost half those games. Like most Coach K protégés he's just not a very good coach.

Big championship game for them tonight vs Evansville at 4 on CBSS. I'll be watching and believe they will win it

NAU lost to Evansville.They had their chances but they missed a couple of layups in the last minute and Evansville capitalized on those misses.

Yep. Watched it too. Made a good come back after being down by 9 at halftime. Tough loss
