It would be great if it ended up that way, but did anyone notice that he has the Suns winning three Game 7's? I'm not sure they've won three Game 7's total in the history of the franchise.

Was he hinting that the Suns are only good because the league decided to allow moving picks? It seems like every team is getting away with them (most notably Yao Ming), but does it really benefit the Suns all that much? I realize we run a lot of pick and rolls with Amare, but he really hasn't been able to get the ball when he rolls as the season has gone on. In fact, we've seen a lot less of the fantastic passes by Nash into the paint for easy layups that were a constant in the 1st month of the season. I realize we were catching teams by surprise then and defenses are geared to stop that now, but we've really become more of a jump-shooting team.

Right, and he also makes a misstatement about the Suns' payroll, implying that it is exceptionally high.

I must have missed that part, where did he say it?

Uh... hang on...

Oh wait, I have it wrong. It's Rick Reilly's (sp?) column in Sports Illustrated this week. He does a thing about the Gorilla, but there's a jab about how the Suns' payroll is larger than some country's GDP, or something like that. I don't have it here with me.

if we went 7-7-7 would any of us survive to celebrate the Title? I think we'd all be dead of massive coronaries by the end.

They also over spent to replace him as well.

I don't know about that considering this - by all means - has been their best team AND they are younger than they were with Nash at the helm. I'd say they made a pretty good decision in what they did here.

I am really sick of Reilley? (sp?) Bill Simmons is a much more entertaining writer. I love his quote from this article,

"Kidd and Vince are like two guys on a pickup court who were waiting for their three other buddies, then said, "Screw it, they're not showing up, let's grab those three dorks over there and see if they'll run with us," and proceeded to keep winners for the next two hours."

You could totally see it happening....

Not sure if Dallas is a better team. The paid a lot for Damp. The only reason the Mavs are doing better is Howard has done well. Daniels (2.1apg) and Terry (5.4apg) don't even come close to replacing Nash's contributions.

That Dallas team got routed out of the Playoffs last year didn't they? They only had 52 wins compared to 58 and are deeper, younger and play better defense than they did last year.

I lvoe Nash and he is withotu a doubt the MVP of the league for what he's doen for the best team in the league, but this was a case where BOTH teams benefited from the move. Those Dallas squads were never gonna win jack - this one's much tougher than years past IMO (and most other people's - proof will be in the pudding).

This Suns team is a much better fit for Nash than those Mavs teams. In fact, the thing that would make this team unstoppable(other than a tough big man off the bench), would be if Stoudemire became a dominant rebounder and shot blocker. If that happens...it's over.

And Amare has really become a force on the boards and blocking shots in last few games lets hope he will continue to show his focus on the defensive end and get this team to a championship. Nash maybe the MVP of the year but I see Amare being the MVP of the Finals!

"D. If Darko Milicic, Pavel Podkolzine, Nikoloz Tskitishvili and Carlos Delfino are all out of the NBA within three years, should they be forced to move into Chad Ford's house?"

I just thought that was a really funny quote. :p
