The NBA announced to its teams this week at its annual pre-draft camp that fines will be imposed on players starting next season for clear cases of "flopping," ESPN.com has learned.

How about the refs just call no foul? Let the play continue with the flopper laying on the ground while the shooter scores on his lack of defense.

In typical NBA/David Stern style, they take the onus off of the officials and let some next day video crew fine offenders. Of course flopping sucks, but what a stupid method to eliminate it. This may end up being the NBA's version of video review, except it ends up being a 24 hour process. The players make so much money, why will this bother them? Manu will just give them his AmEx card.
