The NCAA has charged Tennessee with at least a dozen rules violations committed by the university's basketball and football programs. Included in the allegations after the NCAA's 22-month investigation are charges that coach Bruce Pearl acted unethically and failed to monitor compliance activities by his basketball staff.

Former Volunteers football coach Lane Kiffin is also charged with failing to monitor his staff. Kiffin is now at Southern California.

Watching some of their game last night it was almost like ESPN felt sorry for the guy I was like do you guys not get that he cheated and then lied to the NCAA about cheating until he realized they already knew he was lying?

USC's part in this kills me, they're actually still asking the NCAA to reduce their penalties and yet here they went and hired Kiffin knowing he had violated rules at Tenn. Did they really not get that hiring Kiffin would reduce their chances of getting the NCAA to reduce their penalties because it would show they weren't as serious about cleaning up as they said they were?

They made the right move with basketball, KO may be a jerk, but he wasn't going to put them in any further trouble with the NCAA and eventually they should be able to get a better coach.

Pearl is a classic overachiever, but he did it by cheating everywhere he went. Tennessee will escape with a slap, but hopefully this guy will get dumped and end up at some CC.

I have been unable to determine if ESPN is the ***** or the whoremaster.

ESPN now says it's alleged he broke rules again 4 days after his famous apologizing in tears press conference, if so he'll be fired.

and on another front Jim Calhoun gets 3 games off next year, sanction for cheating. Not this year, no post season ban. Just some useless warm up games next year/ Just like the Auburn suspensions, next year.

And Calhoun is threatening to involve lawyers too.

It's like they're so used to getting away with stuff when they get caught they're insulted.

His assistant was so involved with that Nate Miles kid according to reports it's impossible to believe Calhoun didn't know.
