Basically what I said was probably going to happen. Sidney didn't give the NCAA the financial documents they wanted by their 9-2 deadline, so the NCAA has ruled him not certified due to non response. If and when Sidney provides the documents they want, they will reopen the certification process.
Sidney's attorney has filed an appeal. The attorney says he did send more paperwork to the NCAA but a spokesman told the LA Times just because we get more documents doesn't mean they're the ones we asked for, they have not given us what we've asked for.
Sidney is allowed to attend classes while under appeal and can even practice with the team, he can sit on the bench during home games but he can't play nor can he travel with the team since he's not certified.
It's not the end but the NCAA has called Sidney's bluff here, they told him no documents no certification and they've stuck to it.
