Negative, gambling is a horrible addiction. As a recovering vBookie addict, I, for one, am glad that I no longer have to check ASFN 50 times per day so I don't miss any action.

Yeah, all that was BS, I loved betting! :D

Coach K looked like death warmed over. Seriously is that guy okay?

Close game the entire game. Wish Butler had pulled it out.

He's been able to take rich white kids and make them a dominant basketball program. I'd say he's ok! :D

I really dislike Duke, but I can't argue with their success. They've been a great program since Coach K got there, he's doing something right.

That would've been arguably the most remembered event in American sports history if Hayward's last shot dropped. Was cheering for Butler, but man, what a basketball game.

Yeah, that was truly intense from start to finish. Gotta tip my hat to both teams, they both played their guts out.

without a doubt. in arguably the most exciting NCAA Tourney of all time, a wire to wire David v. Goliath thriller decided by a half court shot at the buzzer by the modern day Hoosiers would have been a moment never before seen and talked about for ages.

Not just the teams but I'll give the zebras some credit in that game as well. It was extremely physical yet well played and the refs were never really a huge factor. That was the type of game I've seen refs ruin way too many times in college hoops by either totally swallowing their whistles or making it a free throw contest.

i'm a duke fan so of course I'm ecstatic with the win

very intense and closely contested game the whole time through - butler wasn't there by a fluke and they should be very tough next year as well - i really like their program, from the little bulldog in the sweater, to the homely indiana kids to that facility that just screams basketball

congrats to coach K for picking up national championship #4 - impressive feat to say the least

if that last shot hit this game would of been an ending to a pretty good movie

If the last shot had gone in, for Gordon Hayward, we would never have to see Christian Laettner's buzzer beating "miracle shot, ever again. :bang:

I was surprised at Coach K in the postgame complaining that Singler got fouled on Howard's screen before Hayward's halfcourt shot. Looked to me like Howard was set and Singler with his back turned ran into the screen. It's a no call but at worst it's a foul on Singler not Hayward?

they let them play all game, probably too much lots of uncalled fouls, but for K to complain like that seemed odd. I think he was regretting having Zoubek miss the 2nd FT because if Hayward's shot goes in K is the dumbest coach in NC history for allowing it/

Actually, Howard gives Singler a forearm shot which is a foul. But, I'm glad it wasn't called. I think anything short of decapitation shouldn't be called in that situation.

Yeah I think the tendency for a player is to raise their arms to protect themselves and it's almost never called a foul either way, which is why I was surprised Coach K even brought it up.

Especially given with about 13 seconds left Zoubek clear as day threw Howard to the floor to get a rebound and got away with it. It should have been 5th foul Zoubek out, and Butler's ball. But they let that stuff go the whole game both ways.

Great game.

Zoubek gets away with murder. Throwing people around, seen it all tournament, dude can't pick up his 5th.

That said Butler just didn't make the shots they needed to, and that's why they lost.

i don't think that was a clear throw down at all - i'm actually surpised to hear that play being talked about as controversial

zoubek had initial possession, howard made a play on the ball and grabbed it - both were fighting for the ball and pulling on it and howard was turning toward the backstop - zoubek kind of turned with him and just released the ball .... howards own force from pulling did most of the damage

the play I thought we'd be hearing about was the charge late in the game - where I think zoubek (although not certain) slid from behind another defender into the path of the ball carrier who thought he had a clear path

I could of seen that one going as either a block, charge or play on - as such i was expecting to hear a lot of people wanting a block on that play
