The NCAA women's hockey Frozen Four is set with the nation's top four ranked teams advancing through closely contested quarter-final games. In the end Wisconsin, Ohio State, Cornell, and Minnesota will compete for the national title.

Wisconsin will face Minnesota, while Cornell will take on Ohio State in the semi-finals.

Bergmann Shuts Out Minnesota-Duluth

Annelies Bergmann made 28 saves to lift Cornell to a 1-0 win over Minnesota-Duluth. After two scoreless periods, Alyssa Regalado scored the winner for Cornell at 3:24 of the third period. It was a goaltending duel featuring two of the three finalists for the NCAA Goaltender of Year Award with Eve Gascon stopping 20 shots at the other end of the ice.

Wisconsin Cruises By Clarkson

After a first period power play goal from Nicole Gosling put Clarkson ahead 1-0, it was all Wisconsin in the next 40 minutes. Passing the midway point of the game, Ava Murphy tied things at 1-1. Kelly Gorbatenko added another for Wisconsin before the period was done in what would stand as the game winner. In the third, Laila Edward scored a power play marker for the Badgers to give them insurance, and Lacey Eden scored a shorthanded, empty netter to close out the 4-1 win.

Dunne Comes Up Big For The Buckeyes

Joy Dunne scored two goals and added two assists for the Ohio State Buckeyes as they blew out St. Lawrence 6-1 in the most lopsided of the quarter-final games. Jocelyn Amos and Makenna Webster each had a goal and an assist, while Sloane Matthews and Joydn Petrie rounded out the scoring for Ohio State. St. Lawrence managed only 14 shots in the game while Ohio State peppered Emma-Sofie Nordstrom with 48 shots. Aly Mcleod had the lone goal for the Saints in the loss.

Minnesota Holds Off Colgate

In a battle between the #4 and #5 teams in the nation, Minnesota held on for a narrow 3-2 win. Abbey Murphy asserted her dominance throughout scoring twice and firing seven shots in the game. Sydney Morrow also scored for Minnesota. The Golden Gophers jumped out to a 3-0 lead which they carried into the third period before Colgate mounted a comeback. Elyssa Biederman scored 2:26 into the third on the power play before Avery Pickering scored at the 11 minute mark. That, however, was as close as Colgate would come.
