The NCAA has suspended Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim for nine games for academic, drug and gifts violations committed primarily by the men's basketball program. The governing body said Friday the school will be on probation for five years. In anticipation of the report, Syracuse chancellor Kent Syverud announced a postseason ban for this year for the men's basketball team.
