Hopefully someone can help me out with this. As I mentioned in an earlier thread I have to help my company setup new computers and network them. I need to transfer data from two old computers to two new one's so they don't lose data. Now awhile back I did this with windows xp but I haven't done it when I had to transfer the info from windows98 to windows xp. Is there an easy way to do this? I think we'll just be transfering all the info over.

Also I need to network the computers. They just got DSL and I bought the router. I was wondering if any of you guys have done this before? I've worked with cable modems before but not much with dsl modems. Normally I'd just figure this stuff out myself but I have to go over there when everbody is working and do it so I kind of want to look like I know what I'm doing :)

Well, you probably have the wall jack, then the cable to the modem, then to the router, and then from there you connect to your computers.

I'd hook up the two old systems to the router, as well as the new ones, and just copy the data over to the new ones.

Easy!

sounds pretty easy :) I thought It would probably be better to use USB cables though and not use DSL to transfer over the data.... what commands do you do to transfer over data?
